Utah Arts fest awards Iranian film ‘The Sprayer’

Iranian short animation ‘The Sprayer’ has won an award at the Utah Arts Festival in the US.

‘The Sprayer’, directed by Farnoush Abedi, grabbed the honorary award of the jury panel at the 2023 edition of the event.

“One day, a soldier finds a seed buried deep down in the dust...,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The film previously took part in several festivals, including the DC Shorts Film Festival in the US.

It also managed to win the Best Animation award at the 3rd edition of the Better World Film Festival in Germany.

The Utah Arts Festival produces the largest multi-disciplinary outdoor event in Utah annually.

The mission of the Utah Arts Festival is to promote the arts and enhance the quality of life in Utah through the production of an annual outdoor, multi-disciplinary event.
